Terms, Conditions, and Behavioral Liability Disclaimer

Welcome to Sentient Harmony. By accessing this website, enrolling in classes, or purchasing virtual or in-person behavioral consultations, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Scope of Services & Professional Status

Sentient Harmony provides professional animal behavior consultations, training, and educational services for domestic pets and wild animals, managed by a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) specializing in behavior.

No Primary Veterinary Care: While behavioral advice may take medical history into account, educational materials, classes, and consultations do not constitute primary veterinary medical care, diagnosis, or surgical treatment. Services are strictly behavioral and educational.

Wild Animal Consultations: All consultations, training, or educational services involving wild, exotic, or non-domesticated animals are strictly contingent upon the client holding all necessary local, state, and federal permits, licenses, or legal exemptions required to possess or manage said species. Sentient Harmony does not validate or secure legal

  • permissions for client-owned or managed wildlife.

2. Absolute Assumption of Risk

Animal behavior is inherently volatile and unpredictable. Working with animals—particularly those undergoing behavior modification for fear, anxiety, aggression, or wild instinctual behaviors—carries a high risk of property damage, severe personal injury, or animal injury.

  • By enrolling in classes, participating in virtual coaching, or hosting an in-person consultation, you explicitly acknowledge and assume all risks of injury, including but not limited to animal bites, scratches, attacks, or disease transmission.
  • You agree that you remain entirely responsible for the physical control, safety, and actions of your animal(s) at all times during any consultation or class.

3. Comprehensive Liability Release

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sentient Harmony, its owners, and its agents shall not be held legally or financially liable for any direct or indirect injury, loss, damage, or claims arising from:

  • Any action or behavior displayed by your domestic pet or wild animal during or after your contract.
  • Your implementation or misapplication of any training protocols, handling techniques, or educational guides provided in person, virtually, or via this website.

4. Veterinarian Collaboration Requirement

Because underlying medical issues frequently manifest as behavioral pathologies, clients may be required to provide recent veterinary records or a veterinary clearance form before behavioral modification protocols for severe cases (such as extreme aggression or self-mutilation) can begin.

5. Booking, Cancellation, and Refund Policy

  • Payment: All individual sessions, classes, and digital materials must be paid in full prior to the session start or class launch.
  • Cancellations: In-person and virtual consultation cancellations or rescheduling requests must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so, or failing to attend a scheduled session (“no-show”), results in a forfeiture of the session fee.
  • Group Classes: Group class registrations are non-refundable once the course term begins.
